This mower is as perfect as you are going to find for a classic Craftsman. I bought this new 17 years ago because I liked the look of it and that it was one of the only Craftsman models to ever have a fiberglass hood to copy the John Deere’s. It did kind of resemble the John Deere’s of the time too. I only used it every so often so after 17 years it only has 98 hours on it, that may soon be 100. Ever since I bought it the Kohler 20 HP engine has always had Full Synthetic 10w-30 and a new oil change with oil filter and air filters every spring as well as a hand wax. Everything was also greased yearly. This mower is as nice as you will ever find if you want the famous DLT2000, this may be the best in existance. The only things not original are the newer Diehard battery and Sears did give me a new fuel tank years ago because the old one had a leak in the seam. The only flaws on this mower worth mentioning is the mower deck has surface rust near the plastic shoot on the right side of the mower. Thank you for looking. We bought this mower new for use on the farm in 2016. This has only 260 hrs. We mow 7 or 8 acres regularly which can all be mowed in just a few hours.. The Cat Diesel has plenty of power for the 72 deck. The mulching deck works great and produces bagged quality cuts in most conditions. Heavy grass is not a problem either. This has been a good mower and has never needed any major repair. The deck is in good condition with no damage. These are a heavy commercial unit and quite durable throughout. This mower has foam filled tires, good blades and a new set of deck bearings we just installed. This mower is in great condition and will offer many hundreds or thousands of hours of service. This is NOT a new mower. At 30 feet it looks similar to new. On closer inspection you will see small indications it is a used mower, as would be expected. We cleaned the mower up for pictures. There is grass staining on the deck which would come off if we tried harder no doubt. There is also some rust on top of the deck which you will see in the pictures, owing to missing paint in that area. When the mower sales a 10 percent deposit will be due within 24 hours. The deposit is refundable at time of on site inspection. You wont be disappointed however, there is nothing to not like about this mower. The mower will need to be paid for in full before leaving the property.
