John Deere Camshaft And Gasket Kit 425 445 Kawasaki FD620D Cam Rebuild Gear Part. This is for all the new parts normally needed to replace a plastic gear camshaft with a steel gear camshaft in a John Deere 425 or 445 tractor. You will get steel gear cam, 4 tappets, 4 valve springs, governor gear, gov. Sleeve, seal all necessary gaskets, and oil filter. The plastic cams were used in early Kawasaki FD620D engines and often lose teeth over time. We recommend replacing the cam before this happens as it can damage the oil pump and water pump gears too. You are getting all new original Kawasaki parts. Oil and antifreeze are not included in this kit. If your looking for the head gaskets please look at our other 400 series cam kit that includes them. You can change the springs without taking the heads off if you blow compressed air into the cylinder via the spark plug hole. These parts work on most FD620D engines except. 445 engines with spec numbers ES01, this spec. Has a different governor arm & gear. From factory it would have been a white label that was put on the 1 x 4 raised part on the back cover of the engine facing the battery. After several years of engine heat and washings the labels would dry up and fall off. We can normally tell be the serial number if this cam kit is compatible with the engine you have. Please note that in the picture it shows the two O ring style valve cover gaskets. These gaskets are less prone to leak than the o ring gaskets. There recommendation is that you keep the O ring gasket in the valve cover, put some high temp rtv sealant on the O ring gasket then place the flat gasket between the head and the valve cover and tighten to the proper torque spec. We also include the push rods because sometimes those are bent and it would be a good time to replace while the engine is apart. You will get a steel gear cam, 4 tappets, 4 valve springs, governor gear, gov. Sleeve, 1 crank shaft seal, 4 Push rods, all the necessary gaskets. That includes pan gasket, oil pump o-rings, head gaskets, intake gaskets, exh gaskets, valve cover gaskets, water pump gaskets and an oil filter. Also includes a half sheet that directs you to our website. There you will find a technical dcoument sections with all the specs to reassemble the unit.
