The installation is really easy. Simply unbolt the factory chute by undoing just a few bolts and attach our chute blocker plate with the provided nylon locking hardware and you’re done! Please note that you should NOT tighten the nuts all the way tight because the nylon locking nuts will ensure they stay in place, you need the nut to be loose because that’s how the chute blocker can open and close without interference. Now you have mulch machine! Or rather, you have a zero turn mower than won’t throw rocks or any hazard randomly at your house / car / window / etc. This is essential when you’re working on long overdue / heavily grassed / weeded areas.

The Speedtrap allows operators various choices ranging between full discharge, variable angle deflection, and fully closed discharge blocking. The variable function of the Speedtrap provides a more custom approach to discharge, allowing operators the on-the-fly ability to quickly direct the angle of clipping disbursement, minimizing some of the typical pile ups that come from a full closure. As you approach a manicured area, simply reach down with your hand and pull on the cable, and the Speedtrap drops into the fully closed position, blocking discharge. Pull back on the cable again, and the chute will pivot back up into its resting position.
