John Deere Camshaft And Gasket Kit 425 445 Kawasaki FD620D Head Gaskets Cam Part. This is for all the new parts normally needed to replace a plastic gear camshaft with a steel gear camshaft, kit number BJD1. It fits model 425 and 445 John Deere Tractors. We have decided to include the head gaskets and the intake gaskets with the sale. We also include the push rods because sometimes those are bent and it would be a good time to replace while the engine is apart. You will get a steel gear cam, 4 tappets, 4 valve springs, governor gear, gov. Sleeve, 1 crank shaft seal, 4 Push rods, all the necessary gaskets. That includes pan gasket, oil pump o-rings, head gaskets, intake gaskets, exh gaskets, valve cover gaskets, water pump gaskets and an oil filter. Also includes a half sheet that directs you to our website. There you will find a technical dcoument sections with all the specs to reassemble the unit. These parts work on most FD620D engines except 445 engines with spec numbers ES01. This spec has a different governor arm & gear. We can get the correct parts for you. From factory it would have been a white label that was put on the 1″ x 4″ raised part on the back cover of the engine facing the battery. After several years of engine heat and washings the labels would dry up and fall off. We can normally tell by the serial number if this cam kit is compatible with the engine you have. You can do this job without removing the cylinder heads but it recommend by us to remove the heads and to replace the head gaskets and intake gaskets while the engine is apart. That is why we include those extra parts. The plastic cams were used in early Kawasaki FD620D engines and often lose teeth over time. We recommend replacing the cam before this happens as it can damage the oil pump and water pump gears too. Oil and antifreeze are not included in this kit. Camshaft & Gaskets Cam Kit John Deere 345 F725 285 320 AM127312, AM105569, M76155. 345, GX345, 285, 320 tractor or F725. This is a Kit containing parts normally needed to replace a plastic gear camshaft with a steel gear camshaft, kit number BJD37. It fits model 345, 285, 320 tractor and F725 front mower. You will get steel gear cam, 4 tappets, 4 valve springs, governor gear, gov. Sleeve, seal all necessary gaskets, oil filter, plus we are including the oil fill neck because they sometimes crack when removing drain plug. The plastic cams were used in early Kawasaki FD590V engines and often lose teeth over time. We recommend replacing the cam before this happens as it can damage the oil pump and water pump gears too. These parts are all new original Kawasaki parts. Oil and antifreeze are not included in this kit. If you need a new waterpump please check aare other listingings. THAT THIS KIT DOS NOT INCLUDE THE HEAD GASKETS. YOU DO NOT NEED TO REMOVE THE HEADS TO REPLACE THE VALVE SPRINGS. TO START WITH GET THE VALVES THAT BOTH OF THEM ARE CLOSED. THEN YOU CAN EITHER PRESSURIZE THE CYLINDER CAVITY WITH A RUBBER TIPPED BLOW GUN OR PUT A LONG PIECE OF SMALL CORD IN THE SPARK PLUG HOLE AND THEN TURN THE CRANK SHAFT TO MAKE THE PISTON PRESS UP AGAINST THE STRING TO HOLD THE VALVES STILL. AFTER COMPLETING THE TASK THEN REMOVE THE CORD FROM THE CYLINDER. Please note that in the picture it shows the two O ring style valve cover gaskets. These gaskets are less prone to leak than the o ring gaskets. Their recommendation is that you keep the O ring gasket in the valve cover, put some high temp rtv sealant on the O ring gasket then place the flat gasket between the head and the valve cover and tighten to the proper torque spec.
