Bagger is an open retail box item that is New and never used. Comes with operators manual. This has the POWER FLOW system. Fits all John Deere 100 series tractors with 54 decks but excludes Z deck zero turns. But that is what it takes for a John Deer mower with more than a 52 cut. I read a lot of reviews on this bagger / blower combo on Lowes website as well as other sites and 95% were not that good. Yes the box that it came in did not appear to be the best design either. But there again, the small pieces were in a plastic bag and the none of the larger pieces were damaged in any way. Yes it took me almost 3 hours to install on my mower. But a little more than an hour of that was due to an extremely tight nut on the pulley that had to come off and be replaced with the new pulley. I would suggest that anybody going to install this unit have an impact driver on hand. Again this problem was not related to instruction manual or any part of the bagger kit. Once I got the nut off I was able to install the bagger / blower unit in about an hour and a half. Again this have had something to do with the fact that it was late and I had already put in a 10 hour day at work but I could not wait to get it installed. I wish that I had waited until the weekend when I would have been fresh but I did not. I would be willing to bet that I could have installed the unit in less than an hour if I had waited until the weekend when I could have borrowed an impact wrench from my neighbor. Bottom line – it is not that hard to install. After I had it installed I called my wife out to the shop to check it out. Since I can not get my mower in or out of my shop with the blower attached, I had her time me when I removed the blower unit and when I installed it again. It took me a whole 47 seconds to remove the blower and 1 minute and 14 seconds to install it again. You really can not ask for much better than that other that being able to drive in and out of your shop with it attached. Maybe I will get a wider door this summer but that will be a different review. As for performance, OMG this thing performed better than I ever imagined. I was able to clean a 3/4 acre lot in less than 3 hours. This normally takes me 3 days with a rake and a leaf blower. My yard had the appearance of a freshly vacuumed carpet.. It picked up every gum ball, acorn, small twig and leaf. I have outside cats and it even cleaned up their little piles left scattered throughout the yard. Yes one bag did always seem to fill up before the other bag but both always filled to capacity every time. It was easy to tell when both bags filled up and needed to be emptied. The chute never clogged which was I also found to be amazing. If this thing last for a few years then I will be completely satisfied. It would have been nice it they made a 3 bag unit for the 54 mower!!! 4 people found this helpful.
