Attached the handle bar, poured 1 pt of oil into the crankcase, 1 qt of gasoline into the fuel tank, attached the side discharge chute, set the wheel height, pressed the primer bulb 3 times and pulled the start rope. It started on the first pull, and every 1st pull after that. You won’t need the self propel feature on close quarter mowing and downhill runs but engage it on uphill runs and it is almost fun as it tugs me along at a brisk walk. It has a single lever to adjust both rear wheels simultaneously, and another lever for the front wheels. Only minor problem I have with mine is the side discharge chute which falls off in the weeds each time I use it. I will find a way to attach it permanently later. The self propelled feature is wonderful… People that complain about it going too fast needs to just let off the lever instead of keeping it all the way pressed… Works just like I anticipated. You have to adjust it to your preference but assembly and adjustments were EASY. Never broke a sweat! It was easy to put together. Good power through some thick grass, easy to start. I mowed a large yard and with the self propel next felt tired! The little engine that could. Works wonderfully the self propelling feature works amazingly.
