The engine is a Kohler 16 hp single cylinder. The battery is weak but could possibly take a charge and the headlights operate. The transmission is a hydro and operates forward and back as it should. The mower deck operates with a bit more vibration than normal and will most likely need a bearing or spindle replaced. The discharge ring which is used for a bagger or mulch kit was repaired at one time. The seat is torn but still fully functional. The hood is in fair condition with a crack on the very top. This could be plastic welded and be fine for years. The tires are good and all hold air. The steering system seems to be in good working condition. This tractor with a good service may be ready for the mowing season. I will assist with loading onto a semi or trailer. You are encouraged to. This is the Briggs and Stratton 18HP engine that was removed from the mower listed below. This engine started and ran fine. The specifications are as follows: model 350447, type 1111-E1, code 040030511. It presently has an oil filter on it that should be replaced. This engine includes the 12 volt starter, air cleaner, and fuel pump. It does not include the muffler or fuel tank. Notice: I ran this engine only lightly to make sure it ran and did not work it hard. Failure to add oil before starting may potentially ruin the engine. Remember: This is a used engine. CRAFTSMAN LT1000 42 Deck. For sale is my well kept Craftsman LT1000 riding mower. Will need a repair, but once you get it done you will have a GREAT deal!!! Here’s what happened: I haven’t used it for 2 years. I put the battery charger on it and she started right up. I drove it to the driveway, turned it off, and when I went back on it it wouldn’t move in forward or reverse. I’m not all the mechanically inclined, but I bet this is an easy fix. It is a super heavy duty garden tractor with a hydrostatic (hand control) and left and right brake pedals on one side and a parking brake on the other side.
