Low Cost Lawnmowers

Vintage 1961 Wheel Horse Suburban. I think it’s a 1961, 401. The engine has been replaced with a very good running Tecumseh HH70 Engine. Starts easy and runs good. There is no throttle cable so I rigged up a temporary throttle with a zip tie just to keep the throttle up so it can be driven. New front right side tire & tube.. Front wheels are good not rotted out. Original gas tank is in place and clean inside. The hood has a stress crack above the gas tank but is not bad. The bottom of the hood is not rotted out. Runs & rides in all gears. I drove it around today 06-11-21. I have a great running Kohler 4 HP. Must be picked up near Dayton, Pa. One hour northeast of Pittsburgh, Pa. Won’t fit in my driveway. Vintage Wheel Horse Suburban. I think it’s a 1961, 401. Powered by a replacement Kohler K91 Engine 4 HP. It has new points, Carburetor has been rebuilt and oil changed. Runs and rides nice. Shifts and drives in all gears. Hard to find belt guard and heat shield are still in place. Look at the original Cone Muffler… Very Original Little Tractor. Someone cut the steering shaft above the hood to make it easier to remove the hood. They installed a sleeve over it to allow it to go back together. Use it as is or restore. Included is a Square Wheel Horse mower deck. Must be picked up near Dayton, Pa. One hour northeast of Pittsburgh, Pa. Won’t fit in my driveway. Must be picked up within 30 days of sale date. I believe this wheel horse is a 1961 suburban. It is in fantastic condition for its age. It runs great, normally starts 1st or second pull. Very little surface rust on this tractor. Still has its serial number tag in place. Has all original shielding in place. The rear fenders are not original but are wheel horse. The mower deck is original but does need work. It runs and drives great but uses oil. It does smoke sometimes worse then other times. But honestly runs like new. I ALSO HAVE THE ORIGINAL BOOK TO GO WITH IT.
