:::: there are 2 different dimensions when it comes to 1/2 belts. The inside dimension “id” and the outside dimension “od”. Most lawn belts in production are determined by their outside dimension. The difference between the id and the od of 1/2″ width belts is always 2″. The id will always measure 2 less than your od measurement. This is an industry standard. A good way of determining your exact belt size is by using a piece of rope or string. Lay your belt on the ground and apply the string around the outer portion of the belt, then use that same string and apply to the inner portion of the belt. You will then see 2 different calculations. The id measurement will be 2 less than your od measurement. This is a good task to use if you are unsure about your belt size, or if you just want to be absolutely positive you are getting the correct belt… Upe group policies and information.
