If you know these tractors and see what this one has on it, then you understand that the price is very reasonable. This has very desirable hydraulics on it, please look at all of the pictures closely, especially the rear of the tractor. 1983 Case 448 Black Frame tractor, serial number: 14044282, made in late 1983, hence the black frame. This is a good running and driving tractor that is ready to be put to work now. This tractor has the H-26 3 point hitch, L-17 Hydraulic PTO Kit and a very rare hydraulic valve system on the rear fender that allows you to operate the front and rear lifts independent of each other! That is the best set up you could ask for on one of these tractors. This tractor comes with a 3 ring binder full of vintage Case literature and manuals, everything from the tractor to all of its accessories, complete Case hydraulic manuals with color pullouts, Case Timely Tips paperwork sent dealers monthly from 1974 to 1984, this is the most comprehensive literature set I’ve ever seen, and it is all from Case. Tractor comes with a snowblower, snow plow, mower deck and rear blade. Snow blower works well, has new Case. Belt, heavy duty wear bar and skids, installed this past winter. The plows speak for themselves, the mower deck hasn’t been used in a few years, it isn’t frozen up and includes the mule drive and extra parts for another mule drive. Also includes a set of chains for the rear tires. I used them once this past winter, they are like new, not rusted, factory black, I didn’t like the marks they left on my concrete and with the plow on the rear I don’t need them with the snowblower on the front. I only use this tractor for clearing snow. I rebuilt the clutch completely this winter, new bearings, spacers, wavy washers, spring washers and friction disk, it is adjusted and work great! Has a recent oil and filter change, trans-axle oil change. The tractor runs fine, it does hunt a bit at low idle, that is why I bought the complete carburetor rebuild kit, including high seed jet and brass float, all gaskets and new fuel pump, all of this is included. Also included are new head gaskets and manifold gaskets for its next de-carbon, you have everything you will need to do the job properly including the manuals! The tractor is not rusty, most of the Power Red was taken down to bare metal and covered in DTM paint, dull, but serves its purpose to protect the metal. This tractor was more function over form for me, but if you want one to restore, this is a great start. The tractor and attachments are 34 years old, they are not perfect, they have bumps, scrapes, scratches, drips etc. It could use new hoses to and from the front cooler, that would be the time to replace the hydraulic system oil, then everything would be fresh, I use Rotella-T in everything. I have a few tractors and would like to free up some space, this isn’t a must sell. I don’t want to part the tractor out, but if you want it without an attachment or two please let me know in your offer. Don’t make an offer unless you really want the tractor.
