FRONT BUMPER for your LX Series. John Deere Lawn Tractor. Up for sale is the latest in John Deere aftermarket accessories…. It’s a front bumper for your JD that you shouldn’t be without!! Protect your investment with this HEAVY DUTY front bumper. NO expense was spared when these were designed! They’re constructed out of CNC laser cut 3/8 thick. NOT 3/16 or thinner like the competition. It has 2 laser cut mounting points on each side of plate that bolt together to the existing holes in the frame. The bumper also has 2 “tabs” that are welded-on to help position the bumper and also use the existing holes that are in the hood hinge/stopper. There is NO drilling required! The front Bumper (piece of pipe) is made out of schedule 40 pipe. NOT “Tubing/Exhaust Pipe”, which is less than a 1/16 thick. DON’T BE FOOLED by the competition when they say “Heavy gauge” steel…. There is a reason why they don’t tell you the thickness of the material they’re using! Me on the other hand, I like to be honest with my customers right up front, and my FEEDBACK shows it!! Below I have listed all of the models this bumper will fit, and it will only fit the LX and GT models listed below. PLEASE NOTE : The hood does clear the bumper when the hood is all the way open. I apologize, the pictures are a bit deceiving. If you are considering on purchasing one of these, but are still not 100% convinced, please keep in mind that these bumpers are manufactured in the State of Wisconsin where John Deere Lawn Tractors have been built for over 50 years! I would also like to mention that these were designed NOT to obstruct your view. They don’t wrap all the way around the front like some of the others I’ve seen. Please take a look at the last few pictures I have in my listing. You’ll see that even when your body is tilted to one side, you still have a view of what is in the front of tires. This in turn, will allow you to get closer to objects without hitting them while still protecting the most important hood and front panel. WHAT COMES IN THE BOX. I have designed it so that if your hood hinges are broken and your hood wants to tip the whole way forward this will catch the hood and keep it from falling front. These are very tough bumpers and have been designed well to protect your front hood and plastic bumper assembly.

The right side of the metal bumper is cut out so the exhaust can be vented out without any interference. These are not a john deere design but ours since we have had customers wishing they could protect their hoods from breaking. We have had noticed that the hood can still get warm so we are now including an exhaust deflector with this bumper. You can see how it is to be installed from the pictures. You will recieve the bumper, exhaust deflector and mounting hardware. We have noticed on some of the bumpers that the distance between the arms is a little wider than the frame you can either put longer bolts in or bend the arms together slightly to make it fit better if your’s happens to be one. This will fit the following john deere models lx172, lx173, lx176, lx178, lx186, lx188 gt242 gt262 and gt275. It will not fit any other model tractor.
