As you approach a manicured area, simply reach down with your hand and pull on the cable until the chute plate drops into the fully closed position or into a variable position, depending on your situational needs. Once completing the area, pull back on the cable and the chute will pivot back into resting position. While in the variable positions, control and adjust the angle of deflection by holding the plate partially open with the cable, taking care to steer properly. After clearing the protected area, gently pull on the cable further, pivoting the chute plate back up into its resting position on the deck.
