Steering gearbox assembly removed from a Cub Cadet 1450 and will fit every model narrow frame (except the Original), and all wide frame models. This gearbox is no longer available new. It has been cleaned and inspected for any cracks or breaks, then new bearings and a new cam follower were installed and the reticulated polyurethane foam gasket was replaced with new. The gears have been cleaned and inspected for excessive wear, adjusted properly, and filled with high quality marine grease. It has no slop and it spins perfectly smooth. This gearbox is as good as new and is ready for immediate installation once you receive it. Other sellers may list parts which haven’t been cleaned so there’s no way they could have been properly inspected, and no way you can be assured there isn’t hidden damage beneath all that grease. What can be hiding beneath that grease?
