John Deere Category 1 3-Point Hitch Kit. The 3-point hitch provides a convenient means of attaching rear-mounted equipment to the tractor. Hitch is raised and lowered with tractor hydraulic control lever. Right screw-type draft arm height adjuster makes it easy to level or tilt three-point-hitch-mounted equipment. Hitch is equipped with depth stop that works independently of tractor’s mower cut height adjustment for added convenience and versatility. The depth stop must be locked up when transporting attachments. Front weights may be needed to stabilize steering when using rear-mounted implements. Replaces BM21801 and BM22286. I installed the category 1 3-point hitch on my JD x758 part #BM23882 it took a few hours but, well worth it! Read the instructions step by step and you should have no problems. Plus an excellent staff on hand if you have any questions. I’ve always wanted a TPH for my x729. I picked up several attachments for it since being installed. Receiver hitch, Box scraper, Carry All, and my favorite is the Garbage can hauler that I fabricated. I use it every week. Back up to the 96 gallon can, lower hitch, lineup, raise up to its grab the bar and then off the ground, drive to the end of the 350′ driveway, and drop it. Smiling all the way there and back knowing I get to do it again after it’s emptied! It did take a few nights work to get it installed. The toughest part was getting the mower deck cylinder removed, turn it around, back in, and hoses tightened up. Just removed the left rear wheel and worked from below.
