You won’t need the self propel feature on close quarter mowing and downhill runs but engage it on uphill runs and it is almost fun as it tugs me along at a brisk walk. Only minor problem I have with mine is the side discharge chute which falls off in the weeds each time I use it. I will find a way to attach it permanently later. The self propelled feature is wonderful… People that complain about it going too fast needs to just let off the lever instead of keeping it all the way pressed… Works just like I anticipated. You have to adjust it to your preference but assembly and adjustments were EASY. Never broke a sweat! It was easy to put together. Good power through some thick grass, easy to start.
