From what I can remember. This is a late 1971 or early 1972 442. It accepts 400 series attachments. The early model had’elephant ear’ fenders, this has the flat top fenders, with the more common 400 series dash. This has the clutch engagement lever between the drivers legs on the dash tower. It is a lift lever not the pull out style. It also has the fine adjustment for the deck height (Yes, I have the fine adjustment rod and the proper steering support bracket that accepts the rod). In the photos is the stopper. From what i can tell, and my reason for keeping it, is this is a very unique set up for Case. When that died, I put in a 12.5 engine from a Cub Cadet (I know, I know). 2 years ago the 12.5 gave out and it has been out of service. When the engine died, it had been running about 8yrs with a 48 deck and a Hydrabagger. (Listed separately as it is in use). All else was working perfectly. If you don’t want the ag tires, I can swap them to the normal turf set. What you see is what you get. The tractor without an engine. I do not know what it is worth to others, but I know what it is worth to me. The item “1972 Case Ingersoll 442 Garden Tractor.
