John Deere 318 tractor with loader. Includes a single cylinder hydraulic blade (not pictured). The blade hydraulic is up/down and a second hydraulic cylinder can be added for side positioning. This tractor does not include a mower deck. This tractor is a bit of a FrankenTractor due to how it was restored. The engine has been replaced with what is described by the restorer as a low hours 18HP Wisconsin air cooled commercial grade engine. He says that this engine is designed to run continuously for days. I don’t have any info on it besides the pictured engine label. To accommodate the tall spark plugs and the exhaust, the hood has holes and a slot cut into it. The exhaust pipe from the engine is partially cast iron pipe fittings. The alternator is from a car and it hangs out of the left side of the engine. It does not interfere with the loader at all. The throttle cable on the dash is not hooked up. The throttle is a handle with a pull and turn to set it. It is located next to the hood on the right side and you have to lean forward to reach it. You set the throttle and then control speed with the hydro transmission. The choke cable is not hooked up. It is too short to reach the new engine choke. However, the engine choke is a spring loaded thing you can flip to start and then let go. The tractor does not have the side engine panels because the alternator and engine stick out too far for the original panels. The rear power take-off shaft is always on. The panel switch is not hooked up. The PTO shaft in the rear is far up under the seat and I think it needs a gearbox added to bring it out to the rear. The tractor has the mount for a 3 point hitch but I do not have the 3 point hitch itself. To attach the blade or any other front mounted equipment, there is a steel plate that must be removed in addition to removing the loader. The guy who restored it says that the standard mount is under the plate where the hydraulics terminate in the front. The loader hydraulic controls work as they should. There is a float position that holds the loader position and you might at first feel that your stick is dead when you try to move the bucket but don’t push through the float position far enough. The loader hydraulics have no leaks at this time. The tractor has been painted and logos added by the guy who restored it. Right now the tractor smells like new paint. I scraped off a small spot of paint from the bucket near one arm while transporting it. Otherwise, the paint is new. The rear tires are reported to be 2 years old and the front tires are currently new this year. The pusher blade that is included has not been painted and the hydraulic cylinder has not been tested by me. I have never seen it on the tractor. The seat does have a spot that was repaired with yellow tape. It might not show up in the pictures. This tractor runs strong. I have driven it but not used the loader to lift anything yet. I bought this directly from the guy who restored it. I planned on using it but it turns out that I mainly just wanted it because it is cool and now I don’t really have much use for it. This tractor is stored in a shed so it is out of the weather. While this tractor is for sale, I might use it to move some dirt around on one of my properties and maybe pull a fence post. So the longer this sits, the more hours, the more dirt, and the less paint it will have. Pictures and this listing will be updated as best I can if I do use it. Saturday noon to 9PM. Sunday 8AM to 9PM. Monday through Wednesday 6PM to 9PM. Thursday most times available between 8AM and 9PM. Friday: might be similar to a Monday or Saturday. Check if scheduling friday. Ramps are available but shipper should provide ramps. Weight is approximately 1350 pounds + the weight of the pusher blade so maybe 1500 pounds.
