Low Cost Lawnmowers

This is a vintage cub cadet international original lawnmower/tractor. Serial number is 3924 leading us to believe this is one of the first few made. They started at 501 and made 2000 a month so this would be into the second month of making these. This has the kohler engine that is a 7 horse. Needs restore, I didn’t have it running found at estate sale. The engine is free. The serial number shows this was made march 1961. Info found online about these tractors. Prototypes 401 410 were built at the Louisville Plant from the time of October 5th -14th, 1960. Of these tractors, 409 & 411 are known to still exist. Test tractors 501 525 were built at the Louisvile Plant in the month of November 1960. All were sent to the Southern States for 50 hours of testing per tractor. A limited production of 526 589 was used to select the best manufacturing methods and assembly line procedures. The Orginal was released to the public in January of 1961 with starting serial number 590. Of the trial lot of 25 Cub Cadet test tractors built, at least 6 are known to exist: S/N’s 505, 510, 515, 516, 518, 522. Ask other questions you have!!
