Low Cost Lawnmowers

This is a John Deere 116 Hydro Lawn Tractor with a 46 Mower Deck. Engine Condition: The Briggs & Stratton 402707 engine will start and run until the mower is engaged. After the mower has run for a few minutes, the engine dies. I have been told by a mechanic that the engine probably needs to be rebuilt, because the compression is only 90# on both cylinders, and that causes the vacuum to be too low to operate the fuel pump at full efficiency, so the engine runs out of gas and dies. The carb has been rebuilt, and a new air filter, new spark plugs, new gas filter, some of the fuel lines, and a new fuel shut off valve have been installed. Tractor Condition: The remainder of the tractor, except the engine, is in good condition, as it has been setting unused in a garage for many years. The hood has a crack or two in it, but it is in better than normal condition for a tractor of this age. Mower Condition: The 46 mower deck has some welds on it, but it is ready to mow.
